Rooted in Ireland, Inspired by Adventure

It all started with a photo (left). In 2006, while exploring the northern coast of Kerry with my (now) wife, I stumbled upon a narrow, grassy road that led to a remote castle. That moment - with its mix of beauty, history, and surprise - captured everything I love about Ireland.

I spent my early years in Kilkee, a small town on the west coast of Ireland, where stone walls, sea spray, and local lore were part of everyday life. Even after moving to the U.S. as a kid, Ireland never stopped feeling like home. Over the years, I found myself sharing travel tips with friends and family.

In 2016, I began dreaming up a way to help people experience Ireland in a more personal and meaningful way. Grass in the Road blends that lifelong connection with smart planning tools to craft custom journeys for curious, independent travelers.
