My Favorite Travel Accessory: Airplane Pockets
I generally love flying. There’s something about the hum of the engines, the view from the window, and the excitement of heading somewhere new (or old!) that never gets old for me.
But even a great flight can be made better with the right gear - and for me, Airplane Pockets are at the very top of that list.
What Are Airplane Pockets?
If you’ve never seen them, Airplane Pockets are a washable fabric sleeve that slips over your airplane tray table. They cover the surface completely (goodbye, mystery germs!) and give you four extra pockets to store the things you want to access during your flight.
Think of it as turning your seat into an organized travel nook - no more rummaging through the seatback pocket or your carry-on under the seat.
Why I Love Them
Hygiene - They cover the tray table completely, which is one less thing to wipe down.
Organization - Snacks, phone, reading glasses, chargers, earbuds, all in easy reach.
Comfort - I can settle in without juggling a bag on my lap or searching my carry-on mid-flight.
When I Use Them
I use Airplane Pockets on every flight — whether it’s a short hop or an overseas trip. A few months ago, my family and I flew to Ireland, and we all had an Airplane Pocket set up before the safety demo even started. It kept everyone’s things organized, and I didn’t have to play “pass the snack” 12 times.

Tips for Using Airplane Pockets
Pack it near the top of your carry-on so you can grab it right away.
Pre-load the top pockets with your in-flight essentials before boarding.
Toss it in the wash after your trip so it’s fresh for next time.
Where to Get Them

Final Thoughts
Whether you’re flying for an hour or across the ocean, Airplane Pockets make the journey cleaner, more organized, and less stressful.
